Vicar Edmundo Rosales, Pastoral Intern
Vicar Rosales served as a butcher for 16 years at Harry Hansen’s Meat Service in Franksville, WI. He concluded his service with Hansen’s in February 2017, in order to begin a full-time vicarage experience. Edmundo came to the Missouri Synod through ESL classes and joined the congregation of Santa Cruz – which is Spanish for “Holy Cross.” Edmundo displayed gifts for ministry that were needed in his congregation and he was eventually invited to serve as an assistant to the pastor. As his gifts continued to be affirmed by the Church and the Holy Spirit continued to place on his heart a call to pastoral ministry, Edmundo began studies with the Hispanic Institute at Concordia Lutheran Seminary in St. Louis in 2014. On July 16, 2016, he was installed as a Vicar at Santa Cruz Lutheran Church in Racine. His vicarage will not only enable him to grow in his ministry to those who are Spanish-speaking but will also equip him to be able to serve as a full-fledged pastor among English-speaking Christians in our Synod. God continues to raise up men to be servants of His Word in every context and generation!
